As a young girl, I grew up in Michigan the oldest of four children in a working-class neighborhood outside of Detroit. My family was fortunate to spend summers together on the lake where my grandparents kept a cottage for 30 plus years. My grandparents had a tremendous influence in my life, exemplifying the value of hard work, doing a job well and being thankful for the everyday gifts of good health and family.
I began working in my early teens and that sense of pride at being able to take care of myself pushed me to adulthood at an early age. Leaving Michigan for Los Angeles to pursue a career in acting and modeling gave me a world-view and many life skills. It was a wonderful and exciting part of my life that I will always be grateful to have experienced. However, after 16 years in LA, I felt something was missing and it was a connection to nature and the outdoors, as well as, a deeper sense of community.
The road to Healdsburg and Sonoma County was destined to be and it is here that my life blossomed.
I’ve had my license and broker’s license with the same brokerage for 25 plus years. I met and married my husband here and we have been together for 24 years. We have a son, Charlie, who will be graduating from the University of California Chico State in spring 2017. I am deeply rooted in the community and have served as a past president of the animal shelter, board member of the Felta Education Foundation & The Healdsburg Education Foundation. I am a supporter of Guide Dogs for the Blind and The Cancer Foundation.
