Surround Yourself in Nature

John Muir once said, “Keep close to nature’s heart...and break clear away once in awhile, and climb a mountain or spend a week in the woods. Wash your spirit clean.” There is documentation that's nature improves your life, your well-being. The closer to nature you are, the more strongly these benefits can be felt.

Physical benefits

There have been multiple studies that have shown the benefits that your body feels by simply being in nature. Even if you're just sitting among the trees, in the stillness of your environment, your stress stress-related hormones (cortisol and adrenaline) and blood pressure are being reduced. These physical benefits can be amplified when you are with those you love or doing some form of physical activity (gardening, yoga, etc.), which have also been shown to increase one’s well-being.

Mental benefits

When the business of life commands out focus, for long hours and many days, Directed Attention Fatigue can wear on our mental health. Forest baths can improve our mental health in various ways. When we spend time in nature, our brain gets to rest. After we spend a period in nature, concentration increases. We also see improvements in creativity and studies have noted improvements in ADHD symptoms when children spend time outdoors, amongst the trees.

There are certain places that can transport you to a place of natural tranquility. The home at 10177 Westside Road, is one of those places. Everything nature has to offer is in abundance.
